Workplace safety remains a top priority at PT Etos Kreatif Indonesia. Held at the Ethos Digital Valley area, the company recently conducted a Fire Safety & Emergency Training session attended enthusiastically by all staff members.

The training featured an engaging hands-on simulation that not only boosted adrenaline but also provided crucial insights into handling emergency situations within the office environment.

Hands-on Practice: From Fire Extinguishers to Evacuation Procedures

One of the key activities in this session was learning the proper use of a Fire Extinguisher (APAR). Participants were guided to directly practice the Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep (PASS) technique in real field simulations.

“It turns out using a fire extinguisher requires proper technique, not just spraying randomly. We need to understand wind direction and safe distance so the fire is fully extinguished,” said Meylani, one of the participants.

In addition to fire suppression training, another intense moment was the fire alarm evacuation simulation. Employees were trained to stay calm, avoid panic, and follow evacuation routes orderly to the designated assembly point.

Building a Strong Safety Culture

The training atmosphere was lively and interactive. Laughter occasionally filled the air as participants practiced handling simulated fire scenarios, but the core focus remained on safety awareness and preparedness.

Through hands-on experience like this, every individual is expected to develop strong muscle memory in case of real emergency situations.
